Model's first plant in Poland, after selling nearly 5.5 billion packages to date, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2023. We look back and take a look into the future.

On that day, the first production line was launched at Model Opakowania Sp. z o.o. A packaging for champagne was then developed which has been produced in a refreshed design ever since. In 2023, having sold so far nearly 5.5 billion boxes Model’s first plant in Poland celebrates its 25th anniversary!
Development
Thanks to innovations and investments tailored to the needs of the market, Model today delivers packaging not only in Poland, but also to Slovakia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Germany, France and Scandinavia. The company reaches customers from its three production plants located in Biłgoraj, Czosnów and Nowa Sól.
Krzysztof Jażdżyk, President of the Management Board of Model Opakowania Sp. z o.o., emphasizes: «25 years of our company represent a continuous development curve. The changes are visible in all areas of the company’s activity. The key to success is our team, as well as the excellent business relations we have been building with customers and suppliers for 25 years.»
25 years of Model in Biłgoraj translate into nearly PLN 270 million allocated for investments in machinery, infrastructure, as well as projects in the field of environmental protection and improving work comfort. The plant has implemented the shopfloor air conditioning system, installed dust filters, managed effectively production waste and modernized the heating, lighting and fire detection systems.
Certificates, Awards and more
Along with expanding the production area, developing the machine park, increasing the number of employees, boosting production and sales volumes also the management processes have been improved. The company holds the following certificates: ISO 9001: 2015, FSC CoC and BRC which guarantees the safety of food packaging. Moreover, Lean Management and Kaizen solutions have also been implemented.
Model Opakowania has been awarded many times in prestigious rankings. Only last year it won, among others, the Forbes Diamond and the title of the Best Employer with the second grade among production companies.
The local community can also enjoy the company’s success. The company sponsors many initiatives and supports the development of young talents through grants, scholarships and competitions. The “Model Your Dreams” competition, growing together with its participants, is already 10 years and awarded more than 100 winners. The number of Model scholarship recipients this year exceeded 50. The total amount distributed for these two activities alone is 250 thousand zlotys.
