Send letters cheaply or quickly
The cheapest way to send letters in Switzerland is with B Mail, but this takes a little longer. Faster but more expensive is the A-Mail letter. If you want to be on the safe side, send your letter by registered mail. The current costs for sending letters in Switzerland can be found on the Swiss Post website.
B Mail: The cheapest. B-Mail is delivered within three working days (no Saturday delivery). Ideal if you want to save on postage.
A-Post: The fastest. Your letter will arrive the next working day, and it will also be delivered on Saturdays. Ideal for important letters.
- A-Mail Plus: As fast as A-Mail, including electronic shipment tracking and liability up to CHF 100 in the event of loss, damage or incorrect delivery.
- Registered mail: Issued only with signature or authorisation for delivery. With liability in the event of loss, damage or incorrect delivery up to CHF 500. Ideal for valuable or urgent shipments.
