Model Weinfelden - Holding
Model Holding Weinfelden is the roof and management company of the Model Group. It was founded in 1982 over the course of our internationalization.
Our inspiring company history goes back much further. It all began in 1882 with a manual board factory in Ermatingen. Since then, we have evolved into European paper and packaging experts. Our company is still completely family-owned to this day.
The holding offices are now located in the former home of the second generation of the family. From there Daniel Model leads the company in the fourth generation. And the family dogs watch over the villa with the immense copper beech in the park-like garden.

Model Weinfelden – Corrugated board
The Model Group's origin plant is located in Weinfelden. We have been producing packaging here since 1931. Over 160 million square meters of corrugated board are transformed into packaging per year.
At our Weinfelden location, we offer a product range from simple transport packaging to high quality, refined displays - thanks to one of the most productive corrugated board machines in the world, processing machines of the latest generation, and a fully automatic high-rack warehouse with 10 000 pallet spaces. Weinfelden is the only factory that manufactures die-cutting tools in-house. We print our packaging individually and flexibly using digital printing. In combination with our self-adhesive seals, packaging from Weinfelden is perfect for e-commerce and the returns business.
This plant supplies German-speaking Switzerland, Ticino (Italian-speaking Switzerland), Southern Germany, and Austria.

Model Weinfelden – Paper Mill
The Weinfelden paper mill in Switzerland is one of our three paper production sites and is directly integrated into the Weinfelden corrugated cardboard plant.
Here we produce 190,000 tonnes of corrugated base paper from 100% waste paper every year.
A large part of the energy for paper production comes from the waste incineration plant in the municipality of Weinfelden: We are connected via a 3.2 km long direct pipeline that transports the steam generated; this saves 20 million litres of heating oil every year.

Pack Shop Weinfelden brings customers the most advanced technology in the production of corrugated cardboard and cardboard packaging, with a large production capacity.
We enable the distribution of our standard range of corrugated products, as well as the development of new products to as many customers as possible without the need to contract large annual editions.
The Pack Shop in Weinfelden is located directly next to the production plant. Our employees advise customers on-site or by telephone. Customers can easily buy online and on account at www.shop.modelgroup.com. Shipping takes place within 24 hours.

Model Moudon – Corrugated board
Model Corrugated Moudon has been part of the Model Group since 1985. Our team develops innovative and competent packaging and presentation solutions made of corrugated cardboard.
The current annual capacity is 87 million square meters. The conversion has a machine park with the latest technology, such as the Masterline 2.1 HD inline. Model Corrugated Moudon completes its range with high-performance converting machines and sophisticated flexo and offset printing technology. Thanks to the BRC hygiene certification, it is possible to produce packaging that meets the highest hygiene standards.
Due to its location, Model Corrugated Moudon supplies customers mainly in Switzerland and France but also in Germany, Belgium, and Italy.

Model Niedergösgen – Paper Mill
One of our three paper mills is located in Niedergösgen, Switzerland, and has been part of the Model Group since 2009. We produce 240,000 tonnes of recycled corrugated base paper every year on a paper machine with a working width of 5.15 metres.
The paper is made from 100% waste paper, which requires a lot of energy and water. Meeting this demand as ecologically as possible is one of our challenges: That is why we treat our waste water ourselves and feed the biogas we produce into the grid. We incinerate our own production waste and use the resulting steam to dry the paper. The Niedergösgen nuclear power plant, our direct neighbour, covers the majority of our steam requirements.
The finished paper is further processed at all Model Group sites.

Model Bad Bentheim – Corrugated board
The Bad Bentheim location has been part of the Model Group since 2016. Here, we produce up to 270 million square metres of corrugated board every year. Bad Bentheim is the only location where we produce up to triple wall corrugated board.
Thanks to our large Bahmüller and Göpfert machine «CL 20/55», we can process corrugated board with a width of up to 5.50 metres. That is why we also produce transport containers for Euro pallets here.
Our subsidiary, Model Logistik GmbH, also based here, takes care of delivery to customers in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. By integrating into the network of Model Logistik the customer can assure permanent loading capacity in a narrow getting transport market.

Model Berka/Werra – Corrugated board
The Berka/Werra site is located in the middle of Germany and has been part of the Model Group since 2016. We produce up to 250 million square meters of corrugated board, including endless corrugated board (M-Fold).
In addition to selling sheets of corrugated board and continuous corrugated board, the plant also produces packaging of all kinds, which can also be equipped with self-adhesive seals if required (e.g. for E-commerce).
The packaging can be produced with up to 6 colors in the flexo postprint process with up to 8 colors in the flexo preprint process. The preprint process is unique within the Model Group and matches offset quality. Our subsidiary Model Logistik GmbH is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery, primarily using its own fleet of trucks.

Model Germany – Logistics
Model has spun off its logistics department and has founded its own logistics company in 2019 with two locations, in Bad-Bentheim and Werra-Suhl-Tal. Transport capacities are available at any time and the Model Logistics Germany can react to order peaks in a more flexible manner.
Having our own logistics company has many benefits: We deliver corrugated board swiftly and flexibly. Additionally, we offer our customers loading space for their own goods on the return runs.
128 trucks, as well as 200 trailers, belong to our state-of-the-art truck fleet. There are additional gigaliters that complete the high shipping volume orientated truck fleet. 155 skilled drivers are on the road in Germany, the Benelux countries, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Denmark, France, and Switzerland.

At our Hanau site, we develop and produce intelligent, sustainable, and high-quality packaging solutions made of solid and corrugated board for the international beauty industry.
With our state-of-the-art printing and finishing technologies, we are one of Europe's leading production plants for exclusive cosmetics and perfume packaging.
The topic of sustainable production has a very high priority. We use the latest technology to minimize our CO₂ emissions. With our building at the «Amerikafeld» industrial estate in Hanau, Model is setting high standards in terms of energy balance, climate protection, and working environment. The building is air-conditioned exclusively by stored machine heat and a technically mature cooling system. At 72 kilograms per m² per year, CO₂ emissions can be reduced to one-third compared to the previous location.

Model Eilenburg – Paper Mill
The plant in Eilenburg has been part of the Model Group since August 2021. The plant was built in 1993/94 on a greenfield site and is located in the heart of Europe. The conversion phase of production from newsprint to corrugated base paper was successfully completed in summer 2024. The future paper production capacity will be 600,000 tonnes/year after completion of the production start-up curve.
The mill specialises in production in the basis weight range of 70-120 g/m², thus supporting the sustainable market trend towards lightweight corrugated base paper and lightweight corrugated packaging.

The history of Model Group in Poland began in Biłgoraj in 1997. The advanced machinery park allows for the use of the most effective production processes, and modern printing machines make it possible to combine six colors into amazing multicolored prints. The portfolio of Model Biłgoraj customers contains primarily companies representing the FMCG industry, i.e. food and hygiene products.
Model Biłgoraj is one of the most modern corrugated board plants in Poland and offers all applications of packaging solutions, from simple transport packaging to the highest quality multi-colour printed display. We were one of the first companies in the industry to receive an ecological declaration of conformity, including an ecological assessment of packaging, carried out by the COBRO Research and Development Centre.
The company primarily serves the market regions of the eastern part of Poland, Ukraine and Eastern Slovakia.

Model Czosnów – Corrugated board
The plant in Czosnów has been part of Model Group since 2002 and is one of the most efficient corrugated cardboard plants in the Group. Its capacity represents over 200 million square meters of corrugated cardboard production per year.
The biggest Model Czosnów customers come from the food industry: bakery, dairy, and meat business. The quality of Czosnów’s packaging products is guaranteed by the relevant certificates, including BRC. Additionally, Model Czosnów distinguishing feature is the possibility of producing laminated packaging. Such a wide production spectrum offers a broad portfolio of products from collective cardboard packaging to the most attractive and highest quality offset boxes. Model Corrugated Czosnów delivers finished goods to customers in Poland and the Baltic countries.
In 2008, the plant was completely renovated and equipped with a new corrugated board machine and other processing machines.

Model Nowa Sól – Corrugated board
The Model plant in Nowa Sól is part of the Model Group since 2016. It is located in the western part of Poland and serves customers not only in Poland but also in the western part of Europe and Scandinavia. The plant produces its own cardboard thanks to one of the most modern corrugators in Europe.
Model Opakowania SP. z o.o. is specialized in packaging for E-commerce: boxes with the possibility of applying up to 3 strips of adhesive tape, eliminating the need to use other methods of box closing. Such packaging provides end customers with an excellent unboxing experience, as it is easy to open and allows for the goods to be returned in the same box.
Thanks to the installation of a machine producing the so-called M-Fold - «endless corrugated cardboard» -, Model Opakowania is the first plant in Poland where M-fold is produced.

Model Obaly a.s. was one of the first acquisitions of the Model Group outside Switzerland in 1992. The current annual capacity exceeds 150 million square meters.
The packaging developed in this plant meets the highest market and logistics standards. The product range extends from simple transport packaging to highly refined, multicolor printed displays, which are produced in small series, as well as large print, runs.
The site includes a sister plant for the production of the solid and litho-laminated board. We are also able to offer Co-Packing services to customers here, which extends the complexity of the portfolio and customer service offered. Thanks to the BRC hygiene certification, it is possible to produce packaging meeting the highest hygiene standards. We supply customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and other European countries.

Model Opava – Solid & litho-laminated board
Model Obaly a.s. is Model's headquarters in the Czech Republic. In 1992, it became the first acquisition of the Model Group outside Switzerland. The site also includes a sister plant for the production and processing of corrugated board, and we are able to offer Co-packing services to customers.
At Model in Opava, we produce packaging solutions in solid and litho-laminated board. The plant is equipped with conventional and UV offset printing technology. Model thus offers packaging that promotes the market success of the packaged products through its creativity and effects. The ingenious combination of 8-colour offset printing with various varnishes, foil, and relief embossing as well as other finishing processes at the point of sale will certainly attract the attention of the end customer.
Thanks to the hygienic BRC certification, it is possible to produce packaging meeting the highest hygiene standards. We deliver to customers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland, but also to other European and non-European countries.

Model Opava – Pack Shop
Model Pack Shop Opava sells a standardized range of corrugated, solid, and litho-laminated board to retail customers who can purchase packaging in quantities as small as one piece. The packaging is produced in Model Group's plants and serves our customers not only for packaging, storage, and transport of goods but also for gift wrapping.
In addition to the packaging of many types and sizes, our stores also offer additional packaging materials such as adhesive tapes, bubble and stretch films, or carton fillers and fixings.
All products can be purchased both in our Online Shop and in our brick-and-mortar store in Opava, where our experts can advise customers on the right packaging solution.

Model Nymburk – Corrugated board
The plant in Nymburk for the production and processing of corrugated board was built in 1995. The current annual capacity exceeds 160 million square meters. The production capacity is partly used for the supply of corrugated board to the processing plant in Moravské Budějovice.
The plant is equipped with modern production and processing technologies with a high degree of automation. A Polyjoiner can be used to produce sophisticated two-piece corrugated board packaging.
Thanks to the hygienic BRC certification, it is possible to produce packaging meeting the highest hygienic standards. In the plant, we are able to offer our customers copacking services. Due to its location, it is supplied to customers mainly in the Czech Republic, but also in Germany, Poland, and Hungary. When it comes to special products, the plant cooperates closely with other Model companies in the Czech Republic.

Model Nymburk – Co-Packing
Model Co-Packing Nymburk is one of the younger members of the Model Group. The company is one of the largest co-packers in the Czech Republic and packs promotional and other products - mainly for international companies. Model Moravské Budějovice – Corrugated board
The corrugated board plant in Moravské Budějovice became part of the Model Group in 1999. The plant specializes in large-format and special packaging solutions, including heavy corrugated board processing.
Model Corrugated Moravské Budějovice offers packaging solutions such as coils, fixings, grids, and others according to customer requirements. But also customized solutions made of combined materials, small-batch production, and various types of assembly, up to large-scale production including standard corrugated board packaging.
The strengths of this Model site near the Austrian border are to adapt to the specific wishes of the customers, to implement these wishes quickly during development and production, and to functionally adapt logistics to the daily changing customer requests. When it comes to special products, the plant cooperates closely with other Model companies in the Czech Republic. Co-Packing is also part of the service, either in-house or at the customer's premises.

Model Hostinné – Solid board
The plant in Hostinné for the processing of solid folding boxes became part of the Model Group in 2003. The plant's wide technology park guarantees a high level of flexibility and breadth of the portfolio offered. The basis is up to nine-colour UV or conventional offset printing with a variety of potential surface finishes.
With its large production capacity, optimized logistics, and the professionalism of our staff, the Hostinné plant is the right choice for anyone looking for a reliable long-term business partner. When it comes to special products, the plant cooperates closely with other regions.
Thanks to the hygienic BRC certification, it is possible to produce packaging that meets the highest hygiene standards. The plant's strengths lie in its hot stamping and cardboard windowing technologies. It focuses on the development and production of packaging for customers mainly in the food and hygiene industry. We supply customers in the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia, Austria, and also to other European countries.
